OFFERED AS A NEWLY ACCESSIBLE ENTRY point to the Genesis EV range, the GV60 Advanced RWD just announced by Genesis and set to join the local line-up in June, is priced at $88,300 (plus on road costs), which falls below the applicable LCT and FBT-exemption thresholds.
The 2027 GV60’s striking exterior redesign incorporates elegant body-coloured elements while making a dynamic impression with a new three-dimensional grille and Two-Line Micro-Lens Array headlights.
A vibrant 27-inch connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) merges the infotainment and driver information systems across a seamless panoramic display and headlines a luxurious cabin design that embodies the Genesis ‘Beauty of White Space’ ethos.
An 84kWh fourth-generation high-voltage battery brings an extended 561km WLTP range in 2027 GV60, which can fast-charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes.
An array of advanced intelligent technologies include a second-generation battery conditioning system, Smart Regenerative Braking 3.0, and Digital Key 2.0.
Powerful brakes featuring four-piston monobloc front calipers, along with a range of ride, handling and refinement upgrades complete a thoroughly honed 2027 GV60.
The searing, high-performance GV60 MAGMA will also join the lineup featuring a 700Nm dual-motor AWD powertrain, an e-LSD, Drift Mode and a Virtual Gearshift System. GV60 MAGMA details will be announced in due course.

2027 GV60 makes a striking and futuristic impression with a redesigned front bumper featuring a dynamic, three-dimensional shape and Genesis signature Two-Line Micro-Lens Array (MLA) headlights.
New 19-inch alloy wheels underpin 2027 GV60’s coupe-style silhouette and complement the newly body-coloured wheel arch cladding.
Body-coloured fender garnishes and rear skid plate provide a modern and rugged SUV look and complete 2027 GV60’s wide and low stance.
The revised front bumper profile and a new 3D full aerodynamic underbody cover contribute to a reduced 0.28 drag co-efficient.
A palette of nine exterior colours features the standard Uyuni White along with a range of matte, metallic and pearl finishes, including the new Tromso Green Metallic.
INTERIOR
2027 GV60’s redesigned cabin embodies the brand’s ‘Beauty of White Space’ concept and is defined by the new 27-inch connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC), which merges the infotainment and driver information systems across a seamless panoramic display.

POWERTRAIN
2027 GV60 features a fourth-generation high-energy-density 84kWh battery, which brings a driving range of 561km (WLTP).
Underpinned by the 400V/800V-compatible Genesis Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), 2027 GV60 brings the capability for a charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes using a 350 kW ultra-fast charger.
An upgraded second-generation battery conditioning system further optimises fast-charging performance, even at low temperatures.
SAFETY
2027 GV60 brings an upgraded suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, now featuring Lane Keeping Assist 2 and a Hands-On Detection (HOD) steering wheel.
GV60’s 5-star ANCAP rating is carried over for the 2027 model year.
CHASSIS
2027 GV60’s suspension enhancements are complemented by upgraded soundproofing in the rear seat and cargo areas, and improvements to windscreen sealing, to provide a quiet and refined cabin experience.
In addition, the hydro bushings previously applied to the front suspension are now incorporated at the rear, to minimise the transmission of road vibrations.
2027 GV60’s steering gear ratio is also optimised to improve steering response.
BRAKES
High-performance four-piston monobloc front brake calipers bring greater braking performance and more efficient energy recovery in parallel with 2027 GV60’s upgraded Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0.
The next-generation regeneration system monitors navigation and traffic flow data along with the driver’s deceleration patterns to automatically adjust braking force, improving efficiency and offering a smooth and refined driving experience.
KEY TECHNOLOGY AND CONVENIENCE FEATURES
Digital Key 2.0
2027 GV60 features Digital Key 2.0 as part of the innovative Genesis Connected Services suite.
Digital Key 2.0 lets users enjoy the convenience of front and rear door lock and unlock, and engine start, using their smartphone or smartwatch.
Digital Key 2.0 features both near-field communication (NFC) and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and lets users lock and unlock the vehicle from approximately one metre away.
Smart devices with UWB function, can control the vehicle without touch, while smartphones without UWB can utilise NFC by tapping the smartphone against the door handle to open the car door, and on the NFC wireless reader to start the car.
Digital Key 2.0 can be stored on one device and shared with up to 15 additional devices.
Over-the-Air Updates
2027 GV60 features a significantly upgraded Over-the-Air updates controller which increases the number of OTA-compatible features from 18 to 45 items – among these are the Smart Parking and battery charging systems.
