GWM HAS COMPLETED its range of the Tank with the launch of the new Tank 500 Hi4-T plug-in hybrid.

The Tank 500 Hi4-T becomes GWM’s fourth PHEV model released this year and the second with the brand’s innovative and class-leading Hi4-T technology following in the footsteps of the Cannon Alpha Hi4-T Plug-in Hybrid.

Priced from $79,990 (driveaway), the Tank 500 Hi4-T offers a combination of luxury, off- road capability and advanced electrified performance.

For a limited time, GWM is also offering an exclusive ‘early-bird’ launch offer which adds an additional $2000 bonus taking the driveaway price to just $77,990.

The new Tank 500 Hi4-T Plug-in Hybrid is now arriving into Australian showrooms and will be one of the key models featured in next week’s GWM Tech Day which is poised to be the brand’s biggest ever showcase of new models and technology Down Under.

GWM’s innovative Hi4-T technology lies at the core of this groundbreaking new model with electric motors front and rear mated to a 2-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine and a mechanical 4WD system to deliver incredible performance both on road and off.

With total combined outputs of 300kW and 750Nm, the Tank 500 Hi4-T has the grunt to handle the toughest adventures off-road and tow 3-tonnes on it.

The performance and efficiency of GWM’s Hi4-T technology is undeniable. The zero to 100kmh sprint is covered in just 6.9 seconds while fuel economy sits at just 2.1 litres per 100km.

Where some other competitors have failed to meet the off-road expectations of Aussie buyers, the Tank 500 Hi4-T stays true to the professional off-road roots of the Tank brand and is ready to follow in the footsteps of the award-winning Cannon Alpha Hi4-T Plug-in Hybrid by demonstrating class-leading off- road performance in even the toughest of conditions.

Locking front, centre and rear differentials combined with an 800mm wading depth strengthen the Tank 500 Hi4-T’s off-road credentials.

Further benefits from the electrification of the Tank 500 and its 37.1 kWh battery come via Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality which offers owners the possibility of 6kW off-grid power.

The technological prowess of the Hi4-T platform is clear, but the story of technology continues inside the cabin with an array of comfort and convenience-focused features.

From the huge 14.6-inch full colour infotainment screen and Infinity premium audio to the panoramic sunroof and luxurious Nappa leather accented front seats with heating, cooling and massaging, the Tank 500 Hi4-T has earned the right to compete against more expensive options.
