WIDENING THE RANGE OF THE SMALL SUV HR-V line-up, Honda has added the sports-inspired e:HEV RS, now topping the popular small SUV range.
Coming off the back of a successful 2025 in which HR-V sales grew 44 percent, the new e:HEV RS grade expands the range to four, three of which boasting Honda’s award-winning e:HEV hybrid engine.
The 2026 HR-V e:HEV RS will launch with additional updated features including RS emblem, RS grille (Bernina Black), door lower garnish, bumper lower garnish, 18inch wheels and door mirror (Bernina Black). To enhance the model’s sporty appeal these features have been extended to the interior and exterior of the HR-V.
The HR-V e:HEV RS is offered in 6 colours, with Crystal Black returning exclusively to the RS Grade. These include Platinum White, Premium White Silver, Slate Grey, Premium Crystal Red, Botanical Green and Crystal Black.
Honda Australia Director of Automotive, Robert Thorp said, “2025 was a great year for HR-V with sales increasing 44 percent. With the arrival of an additional hybrid grade, the range-topping e:HEV RS, we’re confident HR-V will connect with even more drivers in 2026.”
“The introduction of the RS is another example of Honda’s focus on hybrid following the expansion of CR-V and Honda ZR-V hybrid ranges. We anticipate by the end of this year, more than 80 percent of Honda sales will be hybrid.”
