SLOTTED NEATLY BETWEEN Hyundai’s Kona Electric and Ioniq 5, the company has announced the release of a new model, the Elexio which is set to launch locally in Q1 2026.
Futuristic Elexio will join Hyundai’s ever-expanding electric portfolio as a medium SUV packed with smart features, sized between Kona Electric and Ioniq 5.
Launching as a single-trim grade Elite variant at $59,990 driveaway, Elexio provides an ideal blend of size and efficiency, with a 160kW, 310Nm motor driving the front wheels, an 88kWh battery, and 546km range (WLTP).
Built on a 400V E-GMP platform, ELEXIO can charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 38 minutes.
All-new Elexio boldly showcases a futuristic style inside and out, with a sleek, minimalist layout. Generous interior space combines with intuitive technology to provide a practical and highly desirable family EV SUV.

EXTERIOR
Elexio’s exterior showcases a smooth and dynamic silhouette, with both front and rear designs featuring a simple, layered horizontal style that creates a broad and robust SUV image.
Elexio is offered in a range of five mica exterior colours – the standard Crystal White, and the premium Medium Grey, Pebble Blue, Dragon Red and Phantom Black.

Elexio’s interior design beautifully embodies structural lines and graceful curves, to create a harmonious atmosphere.
Highlights among a generous list of features include a leather-appointed interior in a choice of Obsidian Black or Dove Grey, heated and ventilated front seats, and dual wireless phone chargers.
Seamless Over the Air (OTA) update capability, Bluelink Connected Car Services, and Digital Key 2 (NFC type) smartphone entry and start complete a convenient package.
Designed for families, Elexio offers a 506-litre cargo area, which expands to 1540 litres with the rear seatbacks folded.
CONNECT-C INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
Elexio will be the first Hyundai in Australia to launch with the all-new Connect-C infotainment system.
Based on the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), Connect-C features a 27-inch ultra-thin 4K panoramic display for intuitive control of the infotainment system.
In addition, Elexio will be equipped with a Head-Up Display as standard, placing key navigation, multimedia and vehicle information in the driver’s line of sight.
CHASSIS: LOCAL TUNING
Elexio benefits from an extensive local tuning program to deliver an optimal blend of comfort, stability, refinement and handling.
Hyundai Motor Company engineers visited Sydney, and worked in conjunction with the local Australian tuning team, to develop a bespoke local ride and handling package.
The localisation program evaluated a range of suspension components (including springs, dampers and anti-roll bars). This led to the developed of bespoke Australian suspension and steering tunes, to best suit our broad spectrum of uniquely challenging road conditions.
