Refreshed styling and upgraded infotainment

The new EV6 keeps pace with Kia’s latest EV models, introducing subtle updates that maintain its unmistakable identity while giving it a sportier edge.

Kia’s signature Star Map lighting shapes the new headlights and DRLs, giving it a high-tech look with wing-like graphics that help create a wider, more dynamic appearance. The front bumper features sharper angles, complemented by bold bodylines on the bonnet which flow to the air intake, lending more contrast and depth.

From the rear, three-dimensional taillights also take after the Star Map design language, while the rear bumper adopts a wide, wing-type shape that visually ties the rear design to the front.

New wheel designs, available in 19-inch to 21-inch sizes depending on the trim level, maintain the EV6’s striking appearance while offering a fresh look.

Inside, the EV6’s horizontal design theme enhances the cabin’s wide, open feel. The driver-centric layout features a standard dual 12.3-inch display that integrates the instrument cluster and centre screen, offering an immersive visual experience.

Inspired by the award-winning EV9, the new EV6 now features a new steering wheel design across the range and an updated centre console with a sleek new finish and the integration of Kia’s Fingerprint Recognition functionality on GT-Line and GT trims.

The upgraded EV6’s infotainment system now employs ccNc software bringing enhanced graphics and the introduction of wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto standard across the range.

The EV6 now incorporates Kia Connect, a connected car service which provides customer benefits in safety, security, convenience and connectivity. The addition of Over the Air (OTA) software updates further enhances customer convenience, as the wireless technology updates vehicle functions, ensuring the vehicle is always maintained with the latest software.

Bigger Batteries and enhanced Ride and Handling

The new  EV6 will offer a larger 84kWh high-voltage battery pack (up from 77.4kWh).

When it comes to ride and handling, the EV6 GT specifically has received further dynamic attention globally, with stiffer rear sway bars and softer front springs.

As a result, Kia Australia has retuned both suspension and steering for the GT variant, taking advantage of the hardware changes.

The retune has resulted in all Drive Modes being improved in terms of ride & handling dynamics, with increased natural feel & grip levels. Essentially this also adds to improved rough road and driving limit confidence. Importantly, the retune of the MDPS map has also improved steering feedback with natural feel, improved cornering accuracy and effort build-up.
