IT MAY LOOK MUCH THE same as all the versions that came before it, but Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the G 63 Offroad PRO, a new variant designed to take the performance SUV’s off-road credentials even further. Building on the proven foundation of the G 63, the Offroad PRO features AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension as standard, exclusive off-road drive modes, and robust equipment for demanding environments.

Suspension and driving modes

At the heart of the G 63 Offroad PRO is the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active hydraulic roll stabilisation. Specially tuned with larger piston diameters, bigger pressure reservoirs, and damper settings optimised for off-road use, the system enhances axle articulation and stability.

Two exclusive drive programs are added:

• AMG Traction PRO – manages braking torque at each wheel, offering seven adjustable stages to improve traction in sand, mud or rocky conditions.
• AMG Active Balance Control – allows roll stiffness to be adjusted in three stages (LOW, MID, HIGH), tailoring stability for terrain ranging from loose rock to fast sand tracks.

Adventure-ready

The G 63 Offroad PRO rides on 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels, finished in matt black with high-sheen rim flanges. These are fitted with AMG-specific all-terrain tyres for improved grip.

Additional off-road protection includes PROFESSIONAL rear mud flaps and a rubber mat set for the cabin and load compartment.

A PROFESSIONAL roof luggage rack with continuous aluminium plates allows safe stowage of larger items and is fully accessible via a rear ladder.

Rugged capability meets refined luxury

The G 63 Offroad PRO pairs its rugged exterior character with an interior defined by craftsmanship and advanced technology. Highlights include the AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather, the MBUX multimedia system with augmented reality navigation, Burmester 3D surround sound system, wireless smartphone charging, and temperature-controlled cupholders. As with the G 63, the Offroad PRO is equipped with a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge driver assistance systems.

Pricing

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO is priced at $383,900 (plus on road costs, which will be substantial) and is available to order from 22 October 2025.
