MAHINDRA HAS CONFIRMED that the upcoming Scorpio update will introduce Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to the model line-up – marking a major leap forward in safety, technology, and value for Australian customers.
The inclusion of ADAS brings a comprehensive suite of intelligent driver-assistance features to Mahindra’s flagship off-road-capable SUV. This initiative underscores Mahindra’s commitment to providing safe, world-class vehicles to Australian families, adventurers, and fleet operators.
Raising the bar in safety and technology
The updated Scorpio features Level 2 ADAS, adding an advanced range of safety and driver-support features designed for Australian roads and conditions, including:
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – detects vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians ahead, and automatically applies brakes to help prevent or reduce the impact of a potential collision.
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go – automatically maintains a safe distance by matching the speed of the vehicle ahead, ensuring smoother drives in both city and highway conditions.
- Front Vehicle Start Alert – when a stationary vehicle in front starts moving FVSA alerts the driver with a pop-up in the cluster along with a chime and haptic vibration in the steering.
- Lane Departure Warning – the LDW system offers visual, audio, and haptic alerts to the driver whenever the car out of its lane on either side.
- Lane Keep Assist – LKA system adjusts steering to keep the vehicle within its lane if the system determines an unintentional departure from the driver’s side.
- Smart Pilot Assist – employs a virtual smart pilot to the charge of steering, acceleration, and braking to help the driver to keep the vehicle in the centre of the traffic lane.
- Traffic Sign Recognition – TSR feature assists the driver by displaying speed limit signs in the instrument cluster display
- Forward Collision Warning – Warns you of imminent collision with vehicles, pedestrians.
- High Beam Assist – adapts your car’s headlights to oncoming and ongoing traffic. The vehicle temporarily switches its headlights to low-beam mode.
