For 2026 the MG4 EV models start with the rear wheel drive Essence 64 which is available from $39,990 driveaway, and the all wheel drive MG4 XPOWER priced from $47,990 driveaway. Inside, the 2026 MG4 EV adopts the new design language from its MGS5 EV, and coming soon MGS6 EV, siblings featuring a more premium, contemporary interior packed with new technology and comfort features. Improved materials, a more refined finish, the addition of physical buttons for various controls, all ensuring a more engaging driving experience. A six-speaker audio system fills the cabin with sound depth and clarity.
Heated seats and a heated steering wheel take the edge off winter commutes and the 6-way adjustable driver’s seat – small comforts that add up over every drive. The rear seats are genuinely roomy and the boot features 388 litres with the rear seats up, or 1164 litres when folded down.
Exterior Design
The MG4 EV retains the highly distinctive exterior styling that has made it stand out from the crowd. The 2026 MG4 EV features 18-inch wheels and a new aerodynamic rear spoiler which seamlessly blends with the body profile and accentuates the appearance. Bringing even more vibrancy to the MG4 EV, three new colours are introduced – Iris Cyan, Sterling Silver and Piccadilly Blue adding to existing options.

The MG4 EV Essence 64 utilises a 64kWh LFP battery mated to a 140kW/350Nm electric motor, offering an impressive 452km range, and a rapid charging time of 25 minutes from 10 to 80 percent.
The MG4 EV XPOWER offers a 64kWh NCM battery, all-wheel drive pairing. With an uprated 150+170 kW combined power and 250+350 Nm of combined torque, delivering a blistering zero to 100 kmh of 3.8 and with a potential range of up to 405km.
Safety
New to the MG4 EV is MG Pilot’s Custom Function allowing you to set your preferred safety settings and recall them easily with each drive. Meanwhile, protection works silently around you as a high-strength chassis creates a reassuring cocoon of safety.
