Škoda Elroq mid-size SUV EV pushes the brand further

THE ALL-NEW ELROQ 60 SELECT BATTERY ELECTRIC vehicle (BEV) joins the Elroq 85 Select and Elroq 130 Years Edition offering significant electromobility value among medium SUVs.

European-designed, -engineered and -built, yet priced from just $47,990 (plus on road costs) or $49,990 drive away complete with a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, the Škoda Elroq 60 Select delivers the incredible space and smarts that typifies everything the brand espouses.

Škoda charges just $2000 for on-road costs for the Elroq 60 Select, ensuring it is equivalent to competitors costing around $46,000 plus-on road costs. Škoda also backs it with Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) via Škoda Financial Services with low interest rates (7.99 percent pa) and affordable repayments from $141 per week (five-year term, 15,000km per year, 20 percent deposit).

The Elroq 60 Select features 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque, rear-wheel drive and zero to 100km/h in 8.0 seconds. With a long wheelbase shared with the larger Enyaq, and 19-inch ‘Proteus’ alloy wheels, the Škoda medium SUV BEV continues to combine driving pleasure with significant WLTP range of between 395km (combined) and 504km (city cycle).

AC charging of 11kW and 165kW DC charging replenishes the 63kWh gross capacity battery.

Significant standard equipment includes keyless entry and start with walk away auto locking, LED headlights with dusk sensing function, LED tail-lights, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming rear-view mirror, leather-trimmed steering wheel with heating, heated front seats with ‘Loft’ fabric and leatherette upholstery, height and lumbar adjustment for both front seats, folding rear armrest with cupholders and more.

Simply Clever items include a door mounted umbrella, two-position parcel shelf, mobile phone pockets on the back of the front seats and a rear removeable jumbo box with sunglasses storage and tablet holder.

Infotainment features are likewise extensive, with 13-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging with active ventilation, quad USB-C outputs with charging up to 45 watts, DAB+ digital radio and eight-speaker audio.

Škoda’s leading Travel Assist (which incorporates adaptive cruise control, Adaptive Lane Assist and Emergency Assist), Front Assist (with pedestrian and cyclist detection), Side Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Exit Warning System, Turn Assist, Advanced Driver Fatigue Detection, Emergency Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Proactive Occupant Protection, front and rear parking sensors with Manoeuvre Assist, a rear view camera and seven airbags are also standard.

Two further options include 20-inch ‘Vega’ Alloy Wheels for $1000 extra, and a Signature Pack for $6000 – featuring Matrix LED headlights with Dynamic Light Assist, dynamic rear indicator function, head-up display with Augmented Reality, CANTON Sound system with 12 speakers, Surround View Camera (360-degrees), power adjustable driver’s seat with memory and massage functions, power adjustable lumbar support front seats, Virtual Pedal with electric tailgate and roll-up sunshade rear side windows.

The previously announced Elroq 85 Select ($54,990 /$59,990 driveaway) can be distinguished by 19-inch ‘Regulus’ alloy wheels, dark chrome roof rails and dark chrome window framing. It steps up to 210kW and 545Nm, accelerating to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds with an extended WLTP range of between 529km (combined) and 661km (city cycle).

The Elroq 60 Select will join the Elroq 85 Select and Elroq 130 Years Edition in Škoda dealerships from November.
