ZEEKR, THE SUB-BRAND OF GEELY, has launched its flagship luxury SUV, the Zeekr 9X. Zeekr calls itself “the premium new energy mobility technology brand from Geely Holding Group”.
Built on the SEA-S platform allowing for a revolutionary 900V high-voltage architecture, the 9X debuts the SEA Super Hybrid system with up to 1000 kW of power, acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and a pure electric range of 380 km (on the less accurate and more generous CLTC). Ultra-fast charging from 20 to 80 percent can be done in just 8.5 minutes.
The Zeekr 9X comes with the Haohan AI Digital Chassis, which includes advanced air suspension, active roll control, and smart drive modes. This system gives the SUV smooth comfort on highways and strong stability on rough terrain.
Safety features include the Haohan Safety Armor, which aced the world’s first four-way crash test at 105 km/h. The Zeekr 9X also adds new protections such as crosswind control, side-impact lift, and automatic obstacle avoidance.
Inside, the Zeekr 9X has a spacious three-row, six-seat cabin with Cloud Lounge seats, an electric split tailgate, and premium features like a 17-inch OLED screen and 3800W Naim audio system for a luxury cabin experience.
Launch variants are priced from RMB 465,900 ($A99,517) to RMB599,900 ($A128,140), with customer deliveries beginning immediately. The Chinese price has absolutely no bearing on what the Australian price may be, if and when it comes to Australia.
