IT’S NOT OFTEN WE GET TO REPORT price reductions. In fact, it’s almost always the reverse. But this time, you’ll be pleased to hear that Hyundai has reduced Kona electric and Ioniq 5 prices by $8000. Unfortunately, the price reduction doesn’t apply to the Ioniq 5 N.
The introduction of a new Elite variant means the Kona Electric line-up now closely reflects the three-tier Kona petrol/hybrid range.
The price reductions also bring minor specification changes across both model ranges (Kona Electric and Ioniq 5).
The Kona Electric Standard Range now opens at $46,000, with the new Elite variant priced from $53,000.
A revised Ioniq 5 range – excluding 5 N – makes driving a leading-edge EV more accessible, now starting from $68,200. The Ioniq 5 Premium N Line variant also receives Leather sport seats with N Logos (replacing the previous suede seats).
The revised Kona Electric and Ioniq 5 ranges are available to order now, with arrival into dealerships commencing from June. All quoted prices are subject to on-road costs.
