CONTINUING ITS TRADITION of well-equipped special editions, Volkswagen has announced the release of the Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition. When it hits Australian showrooms, it will be priced from $124,990 (plus on road costs).

Following on from other special editions, most recently the Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg Edition and T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition, this Touareg special edition likewise offers an exclusive package of styling and luxury enhancements.

Wolfsburg – the home of Volkswagen’s global operations, and as synonymous with the brand as the first Beetle that was produced in the German town – is represented by the iconic ‘wolf and castle’ emblem on every special edition.

For the Volkswagen Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition the package in addition to the tailgate-applied emblem includes 21-inch Black Leeds alloy wheels, a black package for the roof rails, window surrounds, grille, front and rear bumpers plus the mirror caps.

Additional luxury comes in the form of a standard panoramic sunroof, rear outboard heated seats, Dynaudio Consequence sound system, head-up display, four-zone climate control, power door latching, passenger seat memory settings and electric steering column with driver memory setting.

Metallic paint is included, with Silicon Grey and Grenadilla Black included.

Meloe-blue premium metallic is a $700 option, while Oryx white – exclusive to the Wolfsburg edition – is a special pearlescent paint $2000 option.

The Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition will replace the 210TDI R-Line in the range, while all Touaregs now in production for Australia will also feature “Final Edition” interior appliques – including the 170TDI, 210TDI Elegance and flagship R, all of which retain a significant 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Head of Product Arjun Nidigallu said the Touareg continues to combine an elevated Volkswagen experience with even greater exclusivity towards this generation’s final year of production.

“The Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition places alongside the Touareg R as the heroes of the current generation model, with additional luxury and exclusivity,” Mr Nidigallu said.

“The Touareg has long represented the essence of what Volkswagen offers across its elevated SUV line-up, sitting ideally next to the latest Tiguan and Tayron that all offer outstanding cabin design, performance and drivability.”

Volkswagen now delivers the widest range of SUVs it has ever offered in Australia – from the compact T-Cross and T-Roc, to the mid-size Tiguan and ID. 4 and ID. 5, large Tayron seven-seater and the iconic Touareg.

The Volkswagen Touareg 210TDI Wolfsburg Edition will be available in dealerships nationwide from March 2026.
